Your main responsibilities will be to:Ensure high quality tenancy management of all HCA clients through the delivery of responsive, appropriate, and respectful customer serviceEnsure clients clearly understand their rights and responsibilities as a tenantManage rent collections, arrears and debts in accordance with HCA policies and proceduresInspect tenancy care breaches and work with tenants to rectifyWork alongside other HCA teams to ensure timely property turnaround and delivery of maintenance requirementsManage disputes and breaches in accordance with HCA policies, procedures and legislationRepresent HCA in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) where required This is a permanent, full time position based in Preston, Victoria with the potential to work from the CBD. HCA has a hybrid work culture with remote working available.Salary and Classification:This role is classified as a Level 3 within the Social Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010.  The salary for the role is $70k-$75k base + super + salary packaging ($78k-$83k base + super equivalent).About YouExperience or knowledge in working with people that are at risk of homelessness or have other complex issues.Strong written and oral communication skills including mediation and conflict resolutionHighly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities.A positive attitude, working well as a team as well as autonomously where requiredExperience managing a portfolio of tenancies in the public/community or private sector housingBackground in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems and data bases such as a housing management database.Knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act 1997 and other relevant legislationKnowledge of the Community Housing Sector and/or property industry and tenancy management practices highly desirableExperience dealing with complex and challenging housing management issues including eviction and court proceedings highly desirableCertificate IV in Social Housing highly desirable#LI-HybridHousing Officer Position Description AUD Australia - VIC Melbourne - All locations CBD & Inner Suburbs Melbourne 3000
