Service areas now include construction, real estate, community development and financial services.  Over 2,200 properties are now under Southern Cross's management, delivered by their team of over 70 employees based within 6 regional offices.  Southern Cross provides a range of career opportunities to employees, with a fully funded and comprehensive employee development program.The roleThe Community Development Officer reports to the Communities Assist Manager, and will cover the areas of the Merimbula/ Bega, Cooma and Batemans Bay.  Travel within this area is a requirement of the role.  The position works with tenants and key stakeholders to increase Southern Cross's capacity to deliver outcomes that improve the health and well being of tenants across the areas mentioned above.This includes the service support integration of stakeholders and agencies to ensure our clients and the community are informed and facilitated with available support.The role is pivotal to driving collaboration between government agencies and non-governmental organisations on strategies that deliver positive sustainable outcomes particularly aligned with the NSW Human Services Outcomes Framework.The role focuses on ultimately increasing the capacity of our existing services to improve opportunities for our tenants and the community they live in.Your key responsibilities in this role will include:Establishing Southern Cross as a key player in the social services network.Liaises and consult with internal and external parties to contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of services offered.Develop and maintain partnerships with service providers and key Government agencies.Using an evidence-based community development approach, work effectively with tenants to encourage community and economic participation.Supporting internal staff to identify household member needs and provide referrals to appropriate support agencies.Plan and organise community and promotional eventsHow to applyPlease submit a resume and covering letter which addresses how you would achieve the key result areas within the position description.  Applications must be made via the link above. Position Description AUD Australia - NSW Wollongong, Illawarra & South Coast Bega 2550
