Katungul Aboriginal Corporation Regional Health and Community Services works in partnership with local health services to ensure that their clients receive culturally appropriate medical, dental, social and emotional wellbeing services. Their vision is "for Aboriginal people to live healthy lives enriched by a strong living culture, dignity and justice and for Katungul's work to be recognised as a driving force in achieving this." The role is based in Bega and will be the senior leader on site to provide overall community, staff and operational leadership.  Head office is in Narooma with clinics also in Batemans Bay and Wallaga Lake and travel throughout the region is essential.This role is a 2IC to the CEO with executive level accountability across a number of key result areas outlined below.  The objective of the role is to improve health outcomes of Aboriginal Australians within the Katungul region of influence and develop and implement new services and programs which address the health needs of Aboriginal people. Staff leadership, coordination, resourcing and performance (5 direct reports)Development of the clinical business plan and interventions that drives the delivery of community and government health targetsFinancial management; managing operational budgets, forecasting, funding agreements and reportingCustomer experience; patient journey mapping and improvement from triage to billing, satisfaction and service.Service coordination - strategic partnerships with local health providers (SLA's/MOU's)Research and development (using government and Coordinare data) and policy developmentService growth by contributing to grant applications, new ideas and concepts with the executive team and coordinating marketing and social media activity with the marketing manager and CEOQuality service standards and compliance with relevant legal and contractual requirements.Oversee clinical and health service risks, mitigation and management The ideal person will have experience in leadership in an Aboriginal health organisation and qualifications in Health Administration or a related discipline.  You will have strong IT skills, excellent knowledge of Aboriginal culture and issues affecting Aboriginal people and the ability to research, develop and evaluate relevant health service policies, procedures and standards.You must also have a driver's licence, police check and working with children check.
