Driven by compassion, integrity, and respect.Our team seeks an experienced and dedicated Community Housing Officer to deliver quality property and tenancy management services. This is your opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organisation dedicated to supporting tenants, clients, and the broader community.Your RoleThis key role focuses on ensuring the sustainability of tenancies through effective management of administrative functions and proactive tenant engagement. You will handle tenancy systems, conduct quarterly property inspections, respond to maintenance, and provide support, advice, and referrals for our valued tenants.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and manage tenancy data across various systems, including Chintaro, ensuring current and accurate records.Operate within Jacaranda’s policies, procedures, and the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 for all tenancy actions, including allocations, rent collection, and signing up new tenants.Provide information and make referrals to external agencies as needed.Conduct regular home visits to ensure both landlord and tenant obligations are met.Assist with housing applications and assess potential residents.Support daily and monthly reporting requirements, including updates to senior staff and the CEO.Participate in team meetings and contribute to achieving organisational objectives.We are seeking candidates who:Have experience and understanding of rent/tenancy procedures, tenancy agreements, and office administrative processes.Are adept at managing competing priorities and working in a fast-paced environment, assisting individuals with complex needs.Possess strong organisational and administrative skills, with a solid grasp of tenancy management software (e.g., Chintaro) and Microsoft Office programs.Demonstrate sensitivity and effective communication with diverse groups, including people from various cultural backgrounds.Know the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 and the Social Housing Services Policy.Hold a current Queensland Driver's License. Highly Desirable SkillsConflict resolution and mediation abilities.Understanding of tenancy sustainment principles.Alignment with Jacaranda’s core competencies: commitment to service, teamwork, open communication, and cultural awareness. Why Join Jacaranda Housing?Be part of a supportive and passionate team dedicated to making a tangible difference in the lives of Queenslanders.Engage in meaningful work that supports vulnerable individuals and families.We offer salary sacrifice and a competitive salary under the SCHADS Award and a chance to grow within a not-for-profit organisation.Position Description AUD Australia - QLD Brisbane Northern Suburbs Spring Hill 4000
