About the Organisation

We have partnered with Cox Inall Ridgeway, a team of specialist change-makers working toward an equally prosperous Australia. As a majority First Nations-owned social change agency, this passionate team place First Nations peoples' inherent rights to self-determination at the heart of everything they do.

The team deliver work that spans communications and PR, stakeholder engagement, policy, evaluation, and First Nations advisory services : partnering with government, corporates, NGOs and Aboriginal community-controlled organisations.

The growing team of 8 committed staff are now seeking a curious, collaborative and driven professional to join as a Consultant. This is an identified position for a First Nations person with a keen interest in communications, content development, and delivering meaningful outcomes with and for communities.

Under the guidance of a Senior Consultant, you’ll help deliver projects that drive social change : from creating communications campaigns to facilitating community engagement and writing reports that influence decision-makers. You’ll gain hands-on experience in project management, stakeholder relationships, research, and business development.

Your Day Might Include:

• Supporting and sometimes leading on client projects with community impact.
• Helping create social content and communications materials.
• Supporting consultations with First Nations individuals and communities.
• Conducting research and writing reports for government and non-government clients.
• Contributing to proposals and new business pitches
• Managing tasks across multiple projects and deadlines.
• Working with suppliers and external partners.

Who You Are:

• You are an advocate for First Nations social change and want to drive this forward at Cox Inall Ridgeway, in line with the team’s strategic ambitions.
• You are a thinker, curious and passionate about delivering better outcomes with First Nations peoples.
• You are passionate about storytelling, particularly on digital channels. You will have experience or a keen interest in working across social media and website content.
• You’re a good communicator ; in writing, on the phone, and in the room.
• You have some experience (or a strong interest) in communications, social change, or working with community
• Studies within a relevant field (communications, public policy, social sciences etc.) is desirable but not essential ; your lived experience is highly valued and will demonstrate a level of First Nations cultural understanding and how to work closely with First Nations stakeholders.
• You enjoy working with others and contributing to a positive team environment.
• You have experience in Microsoft Office suite and Workflow management programs.
