This role supports tenants, helps manage properties, and contributes to positive housing outcomes for people in need.Reporting to the Housing Coordinator, you’ll help manage a small portfolio and ensure services are delivered with care, professionalism, and in line with organisational values.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with tenancy and property management, including allocations, rent, eligibility checks, and resolving tenancy issues.Help minimise rental loss and maintain property standards through inspections and maintenance coordination.Keep accurate tenancy and property records according to policies and legislation.Provide friendly, responsive customer service and build positive tenant relationships.Support tenant participation initiatives and feedback processes.Monitor tenancy data, rent, bonds, and repayments to identify emerging needs.Ensure all work complies with policies, procedures, and legislation.Work collaboratively with the team and contribute to continuous improvement.Uphold the mission and values of Churches of Christ in all interactions. About YouCertificate IV in Social Housing (or similar qualification), or relevant experience in housing or community services.Around three years’ experience in tenancy management or a related service role.Understanding of housing legislation and compliance requirements.Confident computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with tenants and stakeholders.Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.Commitment to service quality, safety, and continuous improvement.Alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Churches of Christ. Desirable: Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008. Mandatory ChecksNational Police Check (or ability to obtain)Working with Children Blue Card (or ability to obtain)NDIS Worker Screening Check (if supporting NDIS participants)Position Description AUD Ipswich 4305

About the Role
