Shape the future of community housing in Canberra.We have partnered with Havelock Housing Association (HHA) to source an experienced, values-driven Housing Operations Manager to lead their tenancy and property support operations during a period of growth and increasing community need.HHA is a registered Tier 2 Community Housing and NDIS Provider with over 40 years’ experience delivering social and affordable housing across the ACT. The team support people on very low incomes, with disabilities, or with complex needs - including those with lived experience of homelessness or marginalisation. Alongside safe, stable homes, the team provide enhanced tenancy support to help tenants live independently and securely.About the RoleThis is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone passionate about building strong teams, sustaining tenancies, and improving outcomes for people with complex needs.Reporting to the CEO, you will lead a team and oversee day-to-day tenancy operations, compliance, risk, and stakeholder relationships. This role blends strategic leadership with practical, hands-on guidance, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, tenant-centred services.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, coach and empower your team, fostering a positive and inclusive cultureEnsure customer-focused tenancy management across all programsOversee compliance with NRSCH, Housing ACT, and relevant legislationManage tenancy performance, arrears, complaints, and riskCollaborate with the CEO on operational planning and continuous improvementBuild strong relationships with regulators, partners, and service providersChampion innovation, learning, and staff wellbeing About YouYou are an experienced people leader with a strong background in community housing, tenancy services, or related human services.
