Alongside safe, stable homes, we provide enhanced tenancy support to help tenants live independently and securely. About the RoleReporting to the CEO, you will lead a team of Tenancy Support Coordinators and a Maintenance Coordinator, overseeing day-to-day tenancy operations, compliance, risk, and stakeholder relationships. About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and empower your team, fostering a positive and inclusive culture
  • Ensure customer-focused tenancy management across all programs
  • Oversee compliance with NRSCH, Housing ACT, and relevant legislation
  • Manage tenancy performance, arrears, complaints, and risk
  • Collaborate with the CEO on operational planning and continuous improvement
  • Build strong relationships with regulators, partners, and service providers
  • Champion innovation, learning, and staff wellbeing

 

About You
You are an experienced people leader with a strong background in community housing, tenancy services, or related human services. You are confident navigating complexity, adept with regulation and compliance, and known for your calm, empathetic leadership.

 

You bring:

  • Proven experience leading teams in social/community housing or similar sectors
  • Strong knowledge of tenancy legislation and housing compliance
  • Collaborative, coaching-focused leadership style
  • Sound judgement and decision-making in complex environments
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Commitment to trauma-informed, person-centred practice

 

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Community Services or related field (desirable)
  • Minimum 2 years’ leadership experience in social/community housing
  • Ability to obtain an ACT Working With Vulnerable People Check & AFP check
  • Current ACT Driver’s Licence
  • Strong computer literacy (MS Office & CRM systems)
