You will support and guide the Assets team to deliver responsive, high-quality services, while also stepping in with your own practical knowledge to troubleshoot issues, assess repair needs, and ensure the right trades are engaged.Key responsibilities include:Leading and mentoring the Assets team to deliver responsive and planned maintenance.Troubleshooting maintenance issues, identifying the right trade or contractor, and estimating costs accurately.Overseeing property inspections, condition reporting, and contractor performance.Supporting capital works, refurbishments, and upgrades.Ensuring compliance with legislation, WHS, and the Residential Tenancies Act.Raising and approving work orders correctly and managing asset data, budgets, and reporting.Building strong relationships with tenants, contractors, and stakeholdersDriving continuous improvement in asset management practices.This is an office-based role in Canberra, with occasional travel to Batemans Bay and surrounding areas.About YouWe’re looking for a property or asset management professional with practical knowledge of maintenance and strong leadership skills. You’ll be comfortable working at both a strategic and hands-on level—whether that means mentoring your team, covering the Asset Manager when needed, or rolling up your sleeves to solve issues directly.You will bring:3+ years’ experience in Asset or Property Management, including team leadership.A trade background, home renovation experience, or strong practical knowledge of maintenance, including the ability to assess repairs and estimate costs.Strong knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and WHS requirements.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and asset management systems (e.g., Console, Bricks & Agent).Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.A commitment to continuous improvement and organisational values.Mandatory Requirements:Full Driver’s Licence.Working with Children Check & National Criminal History Check.White Card.Current COVID-19 vaccinations (as per health guidelines). The Role

As Team Leader – Assets, you’ll provide both leadership and technical know-how to oversee property maintenance and asset management. About You

We’re looking for a property or asset management professional with practical knowledge of maintenance and strong leadership skills.
