Housing Operations Manager

We have partnered with an incredibly passionate and driven organisation, YWCA, who through a growth surge are seeking an experienced Housing Operations Manager to oversee and lead a dedicated team.YWCA are a proud feminist not-for-profit organisation who have been working at the forefront of gender equality through their housing, community programs and advocacy for over 140 years. This role is integral in ensuring that the team’s tenants, clients, and the broader community receive exceptional service that aligns with the teams values, policies, and procedures. You will ensure compliance with all relevant government legislation and be a driving force in achieving organisational performance targets.Some Key Responsibilities Include:Lead, coach, and mentor your team to achieve service goals, fostering a positive and inclusive culture.Develop and monitor work plans, support performance and development through goal setting and feedback, and act as an escalation point for complex situations.Promote continuous quality improvement in the delivery of housing services.Maintain high tenant management standards and ensure that key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.Ensure compliance with government regulations, WHS, and YWCA policies, and assist in the implementation of the Asset Management strategy.Develop partnerships to support residents in sustaining their tenanciesManage tenant complaints according to policy, participate in after-hours on-call rosters, and facilitate national annual rent reviews.Provide accurate, timely reports on business activities.Work with the General Manager of Housing Operations to embed tenant engagement practices and support team well-being.Monitor maintenance budgets and ensure adherence to Workplace Health and Safety guidelines Qualifications and Experience:Proven experience in managing individuals and teams within a community housing or similar environment.Familiarity with tenancy management practices, RTA legislation, tribunals, maintenance, and budget management.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train team members while managing competing deadlines.Sensitivity to homelessness issues and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse cultural groups.High-level organisational, administrative, mediation, and conflict resolution skills. To be successful in this role, a valid WWCC or Vulnerable People Check, a Criminal History Check and Victorian Driver’s License is required.Position Description AUD Australia - VIC Melbourne - All locations CBD & Inner Suburbs South Melbourne 3205
