Housing Service and System Administration Officer

We have partnered with YWCA - a proud feminist not-for-profit organisation who have been working at the forefront of gender equality through their housing, community programs and advocacy for over 140 years. The dedicated and collaborative team are seeking a dedicated Housing Administration Officer to join their YWCA Housing team. In this role, you will provide high-quality administrative support, manage resident referrals and allocations, and ensure the smooth operation of their housing systems. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those in need while supporting the broader goals of our organisation.Some Key Responsibilities Include:Manage the referral, allocation, and assessment process for residents, ensuring eligibility criteria are met for property allocations.Review and enhance referral and allocation procedures to maintain a supportive and high-quality service.Complete and maintain up-to-date property condition reports.Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to support housing operations.Build and maintain external networks to improve service delivery and foster collaborative relationships with service providers, community agencies, and other stakeholders.Contribute to the development and review of housing system operation manuals.Support team members through training and coaching, ensuring best practices are followed.Assist the Housing Service and Systems Manager in implementing systems and practices.Update housing policies and procedures as needed, and ensure all program and reporting administration requirements are met. Qualifications and Experience:Qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in office operations management and support.Awareness and sensitivity to homelessness issues, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse cultural groups.Understanding of office accounting and financial procedures.High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in Outlook, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.Strong verbal and written communication skills. To be successful in this role a valid Working with Children or Vulnerable People Check and a Criminal History Check is required.
