Enliven Housing Community is a not-for-profit organisation which strives to empower people with a disability to make independent and informed choices about their lives. We created and deliver the Community Cooperative service as a core component of this. A Community Cooperative is a group of people who share home or onsite support services, or both, who are bought together and empowered to increase choice and control of their shared arrangements. This innovative and impactful service model empowers groups of people who share supports (the Community Cooperative) to confidentially raise feedback to their providers, adapt services to their needs and preferences, and clearly document for providers what quality service looks like to them.The RoleWe are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Facilitator to join our team and support 15 specialist disability homes across Queensland. As a Lead Facilitator, you will empower groups to govern their support arrangements, facilitating meetings, building capacity, and ensuring effective communication and decision-making.You will coordinate and deliver meetings, keep the group on track for key required outcomes such as decisions, and support the enactment of their decisions such as through stakeholder engagement. The role is a blend of face-to-face time with the Cooperatives, and desk time. You will join a team of existing Facilitators and you will be the Lead Facilitator for up to 15 Community Cooperatives in your region.This role is based in Brisbane, Queensland. There will be a requirement to travel to meetings near participants' homes. You must have access to a car and a current driver’s licence.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and deliver Community Cooperative meetings, ensuring effective administration and logistics.Adapt meetings and communication to meet the needs and preferences of participants.Facilitate meetings to a standardised agenda, tailored to the group's requirements.Build capacity among group members through a clear program of skills development.Maintain relationships with service providers to enhance outcomes for participants.Assist members in selecting or replacing support providers as needed.Promote the Cooperative Model within the community and the sector.Required Experience / EducationRelevant social or human services education and/or equivalent professional experience.Minimum three years’ experience in disability services or a related field.Experience working with people with diverse communication styles, using a person-centred approach with a commitment to participant outcomes.Strong background in disability services and a thorough understanding of NDIS.Excellent organisational skills for reporting, tracking, and meeting administration.Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.Outstanding customer service and social skills.Strong commitment to meeting deadlines and achieving results.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Current driver’s licence (any state/territory).The successful candidate will be required to undertake the NDIS worker check which includes a Police check and four learning modules.Position Description AUDAustralia - QLDBrisbaneCBD & Inner SuburbsBrisbane4000
