With a national presence and a head office in Sydney’s CBD, this passionate team is committed to revolutionising the energy landscape through innovative solar solutions. The team are looking for a National Business Development Manager to drive the company’s growth across Australia. The role will lead on establishing strategic partnerships with tier one construction companies, federal and state governments, strata and building managers, to market the company’s solar and EV services.Responsibilities will include sales prospecting, delivering sales presentations and proposals for both solar and EV installations, provision of exceptional customer service, and delivering product training. The National Business Development Manager is the organisational lead on achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) for sales targets and client acquisition. This is an initial 12-month contract with the potential for extension. The role is based in Sydney with travel across Australia.Key Responsibilities will include:Identify and target decision makers across government, council, medium to large-scale businesses, solar farms, construction companies and other potential projects who utilise solar energy solutions.Develop a deep understanding of key target markets and ideal customer profilesCultivate and nurture relationships with business owners, sustainability managers, construction companies, facility managers, key decision-makers to understand their energy needsUtilise various channels to generate leads, including networking events, industry associations, and online platforms.Adhere to all relevant regulations, policies, and ethical standards while engaging with prospects, maintain a strong focus on compliance and achieve excellent scores in audits and assessments.Proactively work towards and consistently achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as call volume, qualified leads generated, appointments set, and revenue targets.Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to contract signing, negotiating terms and pricing.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the implementation process to ensure smooth project execution and client satisfaction. To be successful you will need:Minimum 5 years’ experience in the solar energy industry, with a proven track record in Business Development within the commercial and government sectors.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.Knowledge and understanding of incentives and government grants in the solar industry.Self-motivation and be results-driven, with a passion for driving business growth.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.Resilient and persistent with the ability to handle objections and rejection professionally.Familiarity with CRM software and proficiency in using sales tools and technologies.Training and teaching skills.Ability to undertake extensive travel throughout Australia.A clean Australian Drivers Licence.
