Taldumande Youth Services is a leading charity committed to supporting vulnerable and at-risk children, young people, and their families from across Sydney. The team provide a wide range of programs across multiple services - Youth Homelessness, Family Services, Youth Justice Services, Outreach, Education and Counselling.Based in Northern Sydney in St Leonards, this hard working and passionate team are now seeking a People and Culture Manager to support the team across all facets of HR.The People and Culture Manager will lead the P&C function, developing and delivering expert support to the management and staff of Taldumande. You will be a self starter, and someone highly fluid and adaptable. You will be someone who is competent across a diverse range of IR and generalist HR matters, and someone ready and willing to coach and support managers and team leaders through hands-on support.This role will be leading a small department. It's a hands on role where you will need to roll your sleeves up and work collaboratively on whatever is needed. This position will:Build the people-management capability of managers and team leaders and provide hands-on assistance and coaching with key processes.Develop and implement change management processes to ensure organisational changes meet their objectives.Perform Talent Acquisition duties including end to end recruitment managementProvide employee relations advice and support to managers and employees on all manners of ER and HR issues. Be a main point of contact across HR Systems, acting as an organisational contact point for HR systems issues. You will:Have a degree in Human Resources or another relevant field / and or 5+ years of experience in a HR related positionHave knowledge of HRIS and reporting (preferably Employment Hero).Have a sound knowledge of current employment legislation, Fair Work Act, SCHADS Industrial Award and Enterprise agreements.Have a sound understanding of contemporary human resources practices relating to performance management, recruitment, employee relations, and a general understanding of application within the community services sector.Have sound understanding of risk management and compliance. Prior experience working in the not-for-profit and youth services is desirable.
