Their vision is "for Aboriginal people to live healthy lives enriched by a strong living culture, dignity and justice and for Katungul's work to be recognised as a driving force in achieving this.The PositionThe team have a vacancy for a People and Culture Manager to work with the Katungul Management team, responsible for the operational management of all human resources and workplace health and wellbeing aspects of Katungul. The successful candidate will provide leadership in P&C matters and advice, and provide expertise in attaining a culturally safe workplace that is HR and WHS compliant.The successful applicant will: Manage all areas of the people and culture functions throughout the employee life cycle;Provide advice and support in the management of workplace issues including discipline, employee welfare, performance and formal employment related matters including complaints, grievances and compensation matters;Manage systems and projects to improve processes and deliver operational efficiencies to provide effective organisational P&C practices;Coach and support the management team to ensure quality delivery of P&C services to the organisation;Develop, communicate and facilitate the implementation of relevant P&C policies and procedures to Katungul staff;Represent Katungul in relevant forums and where relevant tribunals and other bodies.You will also bring with you:Tertiary qualifications in human resource management or other relevant field, and relevant experience in a senior HR or similar role ;Previous experience working within proactive recruitment and Talent Acquisition ;Strong understanding of workforce development and capability, including cultural capability and organisation capability ;Experience working across work health and safety ;Previous experience managing complex workers compensation claims ;Demonstrated ability to develop, lead and implement a broad range of contemporary people and culture strategies in a culturally appropriate environment ; andStrong interpersonal and coaching skills and experience working collaboratively within a complex environment.It is highly desirable that the successful candidate identifies as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Previous experience in the not-for-profit sector or an appreciation and understanding of health and community services is highly desirable.
