Focus.The RoleReporting into the Head, Community Housing Operations, you will enjoy leading an experienced property services team of technical and asset officers, who manage the day-to-day delivery of the planned, responsive and cyclical maintenance programs.This position is responsible for the development and delivery of the relevant strategic objectives, business priorities and KPIs relating to asset management. You will provide expert advice, coaching and leadership to the team, and drive the development and implementation of best practice policies and processes that ensures business sustainability and ongoing registration of WHC. We are open to consider part time applicants seeking 4 days per week.Please note that being female is a genuine occupational requirement of this role (Sec 31 Anti-Discrimination Act 1977)Your main responsibilities will be to:Actively contribute to the development and delivery of a Strategic Asset Management Plan and Annual Asset Maintenance PlanProvide expert advice on asset liability of new property acquisitions and contribute to funding submissions and tendersDevelop excellent property data management including reporting on adherence to plans, departmental KPIs and budgetsEnsure quality service delivery by developing and implementing systems to monitor and review the work performed by contractors to ensure contractual obligations are metEnsure appropriate management of WHC assets by delivering planned, cyclical, and responsive maintenance programs Demonstrate dynamic planning, insightful reporting, and change management as you operationalise the strategic plan through business planning with your teamEnsure Property Services, including contractors, are compliant with both the internal policies and procedures and the National Regulatory SystemThe role also offers flexible working arrangements to support your work life balance.About YouAt least 5 years' experience in asset management, property services or equivalentRelevant tertiary qualifications i.e. a degree in property, business administration, commerce or related discipline.Experience managing a varied and dynamic teamStrong data management and analysis skillsExperience managing key stakeholder relationships and contractsTechnical understanding of general essential services (electrical, plumbing, waterproofing, structural works and leading causes and remedial construction)As a Public Benevolent Institution, WHC is able to provide staff with tax effective salary sacrifice arrangement.WHC is committed to the ongoing training and professional development of  staff.To be successful in this role, you must also be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and be willing to undergo a police check.Please note that being female is a genuine occupational requirement of this role (Sec 31 Anti-Discrimination Act 1977) AUD Australia - NSW Sydney CBD, Inner West & Eastern Suburbs Surry Hills 2010
