Women's Housing Company are hiring for a Tenancy Manager based in our Surry Hills team! If you are looking for a role with real purpose, you are looking at the right job post! About the OrganisationThe Women’s Housing Company (WHC) Limited is a specialist provider of housing and homelessness services to women with and without children. With almost 40 years of history, experience and commitment, WHC has grown and expanded their services to provide crisis, transitional, social and affordable housing to women across Sydney, the Hunter and Coffs Harbour. They are a Tier 1 Community Housing Provider, registered under the National Regulatory System for Community Housing, as a company limited by guarantee, operating as a registered charity. About the role(s): Our new Tenancy Manager joins a team of TM's who are responsible for providing exceptional customer service in relation to all aspects of tenancy management for an allocated portfolio of properties and tenancies, in accordance with relevant legislative and contractual requirements and within the guidelines of the Women’s Housing Company (WHC) policies and procedures. We have two positions available X1 Permanent Full time, X1 Fixed term - 6 months.Position Responsibilities: Provide consistent high-quality tenancy management services and support the provision of quality homes in the portfolio. Commitment to sustaining tenancies by assessing capacity and changing needs and facilitating referrals to relevant support services.Demonstrated achievement of high levels of tenant satisfaction through timely and appropriate responses to tenant enquiries, complaints and grievances for mutually beneficial outcomes.Achievement of financial targets through the effective management of lease signings and renewals, rent assessments and reviews, rent and non-rent arrears, former tenant debt and  vacant property processes.Commitment to enhanced community and tenant engagement programs by promoting and supporting the implementation of relevant programs throughout the portfolio.Compliance to operational and workplace policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative obligations, including timely and accurate recording of tenant information in relevant IT system(s).About you / Essential Requirements: You are a people person, communicative and diligent.Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.Extremely well organised, strong attention to detail and can-do attitude.It would be great if you have past residential tenancy / property management experience in either private Real Estate or in the Social Housing Sector.Ability to work with autonomy and as an effective team member, with a commitment to a building supportive and collaborative team culture.Confidence and capacity to learn and effectively use various computer systems.You play as a team and look after yourself and colleagues, always.A sound understanding of the NSW Residential Tenancies Act.NSW Driver’s License.Mandatory National Criminal History Check.Being female is a genuine occupational requirement for this position under the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.Must have: It is a requirement of this position that applicants who apply must have or must be willing to apply for a valid National Police Check, a Working with Children Check and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.Desirable / Good to have Requirements:Related past residential tenancy / property management experience in either private Real Estate or in the Social Housing Sector advantageous!Certificate IV in Social Housing OR Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) or a related fieldReal Estate License - good to have A genuine interest and demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the needs of social housing tenantsWhat's in it for you? Job satisfaction operating in a role and company with true purpose, working as part of a team making a difference to people's lives in an organisation that truly cares about peopleGenerous Salary Packaging benefitsA great rewards program including a day off on your birthday, flexi time, regular well-being sessions and team building eventsIn addition to excellent learning and development opportunities, as a large purpose driven organisation we provide potential to grow your career across a range of teams and servicesSupportive, friendly and values driven team environment and cultureOpportunity to learn, develop and progress within your career  AUD Australia - NSW Sydney CBD, Inner West & Eastern Suburbs Surry Hills 2010
