OrganisationOur client, HumanAbility, is a not-for-profit, industry owned and led organisation that is contracted by the federal government. It was established as a Jobs and Skills Council for the health, human services, sport & recreation, and early childhood industries to fulfil the requirements of the Jobs & Skills Councils, Strengthening Australia’s National Vocational Education and Training System program.Role Overview:The growing team is now seeking a Training Product Developer / Technical Writer to work collaboratively with the products and training team to develop and ensure quality assurance of HumanAbility’s workforce planning, vocational education and training products.This role will report into the Training Products and Project Manager, and will be required to both lead and work in small teams and may be engaged in multiple projects at any given time.This is a hybrid role offering flexible work arrangements anywhere within Australia. The successful candidate will be expected on occasions to travel interstate.Some Key Responsibilities will include:Develop and review vocational education and training products in consultation with sector stakeholders, including development and review of qualifications, skill sets, units of competency and companion volumesFacilitate workshops with key stakeholders (both online and in-person) to develop and review training products.Draft products end to end and brief and present to a variety of audiences on these products.Follow a consultation and governance process to finalise approvals of products developed; this will include the drafting of associated papers and reports.Build consensus through negotiation with different stakeholders, in the development of product content. Skills and Experience:A Certificate IV in Training Assessment and/or a relevant Higher Education qualification.Specialist knowledge/technical skills:Demonstrated experience in development of qualifications and courses, and/or training and assessment materialsKnowledge of national VET policy including the Training Product Organising Framework including the Standards for Training Packages, Training Package Products Policy and Training Package Products Development and Endorsement Process PolicyAbility to analyse information in order to identify options, reach logical conclusions and explain approaches to othersHigh level negotiation skills with the ability to reach a consensus with stakeholders, while building and consolidating positive relationships with internal and external stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to work in a project-based delivery environment and deliver a complex work program.High level IT skills in a range of software associated with document content management, stakeholder relationship management systems, project management tools and Microsoft Office.Industry knowledge.
